Our mission is “to promote the practice and enjoyment of watercolours”.

SAWS was founded in May 2012.

Membership of SAWS is open to anyone with an interest in watercolour painting.

Many of South Australia’s top artists are included in our ranks.

Ours is a non-restrictive Society.  We welcome novices and accomplished artists alike.

SAWS continues the En Plein Air project:

'From the Sea to the Hills'


We are inviting all artists/art groups to join in the fun that includes watercolour, oils, pastels, acrylics and mixed media.

We began on Saturday 21 February 2015 and will now try to get in as much painting before the winter sets in.

We will be in Paradise on Saturday the 14th and 21st of May from 9 am.

Meeting at the small lake on the corner of Mahogany Drive and Almond Avenue,Paradise.

As you can see from the photo below there are lots of birds and great landscapes to paint, draw etc. 

 

Bring your lunch, equipment, sun protection etc.. toilets, playground within 100 meters.

Venue will change each month so that eventually we will cover the entire Torrens Linear Park 

This project may take one or two years to complete.  

It will culminate in a major exhibition/sale of all your works.  

If you know of any hidden spots along the River Torrens that would make a great painting please let me know?

Our new times are Saturdays and Tuesdays,  10 am - 1 pm (with an outdoor painting session on the second last Saturday of each month)
